International Golf Maintenance (IGM) is proud to have been named in the National Golf Foundation’s (NGF) Top 100 Businesses in Golf. NGF states the list recognizes “the most successful, prominent, influential, successful and innovative companies in the U.S. golf industry.”
The Top 100 list focuses on businesses that provide products or services that support recreational golf in various categories. IGM is one of 15 companies honored in the Course Management/Development category. This recognizes IGM’s impact in both the turf maintenance/landscaping and total course management sectors.
“IGM started as a golf course maintenance contractor, but as we saw the growing need for full management services, we leveraged our internal expertise to offer those additional services to clients,” said Greg Plotner, Executive Vice President of IGM.
In compiling the Top 100 list, NGF considered factors such as the candidates’ financial success and growth rate, along with assessments of their influence and contributions to the growth and vitality of the game. IGM’s client roster includes both public and private clubs across the U.S.
According to NGF, the recreational golf industry contributes an annual economic impact of more than $100 billion in the United States. More than 200 companies fall into the course management/development category, of which IGM is one of only 15 to make the Top 100 list. Other categories compiled in the Top 100 list include: equipment, apparel and accessories, turf and course suppliers, retail, media technology, portfolio companies, and miscellaneous. It does not include associations or organizations.
“IGM is proud of the work our teams deliver every day, and it is an honor to be recognized for our overall contributions to the golf industry,” said Plotner.
