Do You Have a Golf Course That Needs Our Help?
What Golfers Want
Golfers have many reasons for playing the game: networking, competition, challenge, or love of the outdoors, among others. Savvy golf course owners and managers want to capitalize on those reasons, both to attract new golfers and retain existing club members. How do you set your golf course apart and become the golf course of choice?
The Importance of Clean Maintenance Facilities
The primary focus of the golf course maintenance team is ensuring quality performance and appearance of fairways and greens. However, IGM professionals know an often overlooked component of success is maintaining organized, neat, and efficiently run maintenance facilities.
Jeff Miller – Superintendent Spotlight
Jeff Miller, IGM Superintendent at Brays Island Golf Club in South Carolina, has always been interested in landscaping and agriculture, but it was in college that the idea of working on a golf course occurred to him. What he really finds rewarding, though is “seeing what’s accomplished every day. I can ride the course and see the results of all our hard work.”
Benefits of Golf Course Maintenance Jobs
Enjoying hard work outdoors is typically the first response to the question of “why work on a golf course?” However, other benefits are as diverse as the golf courses themselves. As a leading golf course maintenance contractor, IGM offers job opportunities at courses across the country.
Golf Course Hurricane Preparations
Hurricanes have a significant impact on the entire business community, and golf courses are large assets that face potentially damaging exposure to wind and water threats. When massive storms barrel toward Florida and other coastal areas, IGM’s golf course maintenance teams waste no time working through an extensive hurricane preparedness checklist for client golf courses.
Budgeting Tips: Golf Course Maintenance
Every golf course should have both business and budgeting plans that account for routine and long-term needs to ensure its long-term success. The biggest operating expense at most clubs is the golf course maintenance infrastructure. Golf course maintenance is our business at IGM, and we have years of budgeting experience to meet any clients’ distinctive needs.
Angler’s Green Signs Contract
IGM welcomes Angler’s Green Golf Course in Mulberry, FL to its roster of golf course maintenance clients. Angler’s Green joins Four Lakes and Lake Henry golf courses in Winter Haven, FL as the third Century Communities property to contract with IGM for complete groundskeeping and maintenance.
The Value of Golf Course Agronomists
Golf course owners dream of pristine fairways and fast greens teeming with satisfied golfers marking down their best scores – and returning to play another round. But a good round of golf doesn’t begin with play.
IGM Assumes Management of The Ledges
IGM and the town of South Hadley, Massachusetts have established a positive partnership in The Ledges Golf Club since 2005. The Howard Maurer designed golf course was built in 2001, and its maintenance was outsourced to IGM four years later. Through the mutual trust that developed, IGM was contracted to provide complete management services for The Ledges Golf Club, beginning January, 2019.
